Having pilots for parents is pretty awesome, especially when your state of residence has basically no roads. Kyle recently made his first trip to Alaska, and on his first day we decided to venture to Lake George for an overnight camping trip (hint: this is a good way to make a stunning first impression). Fields of brilliant magenta flowers were in bloom, a black bear stopped by to check us out, and generally incredible times were had by all.
Minutes after we arrived, ecstatic!
Kyle by our tent.
A canoe we found!
Paddling (somewhat unsuccessfully) amidst the icebergs.
Kyle made an amazing pasta dinner.
Our bonfire on the beach, home of the bear encounter.
Evening, right before we went to bed. Love the midnight sun.
Sunshine on our morning hike.
