Take Me Back to… Istanbul

As a momentary distraction from studying from finals and writing research papers, I have taken a few moments to contemplate my favorite city on earth, Istanbul. Aside from places that I consider home, like Alaska and Norway, there are very few places I would actually plan a trip to return to, in an effort to see as much of the world as possible in my lifetime. However, Turkey is one of those places. Istanbul (not Constantinople…), which I visited fresh out of high school back in the day, was one of the most culturally fascinating places I have ever seen, not to mention a photographer’s paradise.

  1. Speaking of Constantinople… did you know that one of my friends’ parents used to have several of the band members from “They Might Be Giants” over as house and dog-sitters on a regular basis.

Also, I love the first two photos.

  2. I love camping anywhere in the world. I couldn’t agree more to the fact that Istanbul is a city which it claims has a unique culture and must be visited by travellers at least once in their life. I did, and I’ll be coming back.
