Providence is transforming. Its bleak, grey streets, previously lifeless skeletons of plants, still murky waters – everything is suddenly blooming into glorious life. Trees are thick with fluffy, fragrant flowers; early morning air is warm and filled with a chorus of chirping birds. I made these photos for a recent assignment on transformation, tweaking and altering the floral landscapes to create surreal worlds of spontaneous springtime life: all on the walk between my apartment and school.
